Dear Diary,

I know that everyone is supposed to have at least one special talent of some kind and I think I've found mine. I'm great bait!

The plan was that Carrie (she said I could call her that when we're not in school) and I would act like we were being attacked (it was really Giles and Xander) and the killer Slayer would come out and save us.

In retrospect (cool word, huh?) we should have known that no matter how good the idea sounded talking about it in the kitchen, that with the traditional Scooby luck of 'anything that can go wrong will go wrong' the plan was doomed before we ever left the house.

Long story short: real monsters instead of make believe ones and - surprise! surprise! - we didn't catch the Slayer.

Carrie was pretty cool though. She didn't like faint or anything - which is so annoying when you're trying to fight the bad guys. I'm not the only one who really likes her. I don't think if will be long before she and Xander will be a lot more than just friends - if you know what I mean.

Faith and Buffy are working together and getting along a lot better than I could ever have imagined. Well, considering that Faith tried to kill Angel, they both tried to kill each other, and Buffy put Faith in a coma, I guess the relationship really didn't have anywhere to go but up. Still, it's a lot easier being in a house with two Slayers who are playing nice rather than being stuck with two pissed-off Slayers.

Gotta run. Buffy just screeched that Mark's on the phone.

More later.

Dear Diary,

There's good news, there's bad news, and there's I'm-not-sure-what-kind-of-news-it-is news.

The good news is that Percy and a special team of Moos showed up (after we did all the work and trashed the living room capturing her!) to deal with the Slayer who's been killing the other Slayers.

The bad news is that while they were on their way back to England she got away.

The I'm-not-sure news is that Percy decided to stay here for a while.

Buffy is about to have a cow - of the bovine variety not the Watcher variety. Although between you, me, and the entire state of Oregon, I think she'd really like to have Giles if he would just cooperate and be had. Or maybe it's her slowing things up, I can't be sure. They are SO snuggly and sweet together, but we're all still waiting on when they'll finally sleep in. Together.

Anyway, talk about almost having a cow, you should have seen Giles' face when Buffy wrapped her arms around him, and told Percy they were dating and to just deal with it!

You know, I think I could actually get to like Percy. I sort of accidentally (okay, on purpose) overheard him on the phone talking to his wife and it was totally sweet. He was telling her that he couldn't wait to get home and how much he wanted to see her. He said something about missing the scent of her hair on the pillow, but I missed most of that part because I had to duck into the closet. Anyway, by the time I got back to the door Percy was saying goodbye and calling her "my love" like he really meant it and it wasn't just something he was saying.

More later.
