This is also good made with blueberries or strawberries. It's a nice thing to have in your pantry to use in salad dressings, marinades or any recipe calling for vinegar. It will make some of your old favorites taste new.
2 cups blackberries
1 cup sugar
24 ounces white wine vinegar
Place all ingredients together in a large jar. Seal and shake occasionally until the sugar is dissolved. Store for 1 week. Strain the mixture into a bottle, seal and keep pretty much indefinitely.
