Even though Valentine's Day massacred the romances between Giles and Jo and Brad and Buffy, not every Scoobie relationship was doomed. Xander had a great first date with Carrie Whedon, Dawn realized that Brian wasn't the only fish (or walrus) in the sea, and Willow had double fun making cappuccino. A vampire gang was eliminated and a rainstorm washed away Ethan's plans for Dawn, leaving him bitter and desperate.
And as Buffy and Giles took comfort from each other regarding their failed relationships, they unexpectedly found themselves
